Path Lab Haiku
Just a quick haiku on the subject of being a stranger in a very strange place in the Pathology lab. It's full of unusual sights and smells, and I'm trying to express what it's like to be in there. A 'haiku' is a traditional form of Japanese poetry which is composed of three lines with a total of 17 syllables, usually arranged in a 5-7-5 pattern and usually to do with nature. It's a bit like a sonnet or a limerick, I suppose.
Check out this for more details. I've read about them before, but I've never actually written one 'til now.
Anyway, on to the Path Lab Haiku:
Formalin trickles
Blade cuts tissue wafer-thin
Puts me off dinner
Yuk!
