Brrr! (Sub-Zero Sunday)

Hello on a snowy Calgary Sunday! We've been spending the day at home today recovering from our skiing adventures (sore all over, more pics and the full story later), and the weather has been the coldest since we got here. It's been snowing on and off for about 36 hours now, 2-3 inches in all. The temperature was -4 for the skiing, -9 when we got home, -14 when we woke up and -16 all day long today. With the wind chill, it feels like -23 apparently. I was wrapped up well when I was out shovelling snow earlier and when the wind wasn't blowing it actually didn't feel too cold! I ran out in my indoor clothes later on to take some photos and after a few minutes I couldn't feel my fingers, so it's COLD!

The street's been pretty quiet all day, no-one seems to want to go anywhere in the cold. Richard and Emma are having an early Christmas celebration today, putting the tree up with Richard's mum before she goes home to New Zealand on Sunday. Anyway, here are some photos of our Christmas lights, courtesy of Canadian Tyre:

That's all for now from your Frozen North correspondent, check back tomorrow for the skiing update!

PS We enrolled for our New Year Ice Skating and Yoga classes today. Should keep us busy in the long winter evenings...
