Ice on the Window
Just a quickie post to say that it was -20 when we got up this morning and -16 or so all the way to work. There was ice on the inside of our windows at home and we had to wear our insulated jackets and gloves in the car just to keep warm as the garage was -8! There was still snow and icicles on the Jeep from our drive to Sunshine on Saturday! Sheet ice on the smaller streets, but most of the bigger roads were 'bare' i.e. no ice or water, just dry. Heavy traffic though, lots of accidents, very stop-and-go. The Jeep started OK and handled like a dream; we've got the plug-in cable with us in case we need to warm the engine up when we go to go home in the afternoon, when it will still be -16 or so. We managed to make it from the car park to the nearest door in about 60 seconds, but even so you could really feel the wind chill getting to you. The cold snap is expected to last until Friday at least, when we might be nudging back up to zero again. Yours frostily, J
