Carrick to Calgary

Friday morning here - I've taken the day off as the visitors are back from their trip to Banff, and we were thinking of going canoeing or mountain biking, but it seems that the weather is going to beat us. There's another big storm system coming in from the west, torrential rain in Kananaskis at present, should be here by noon. They're expecting another 120mm of rain in the next couple of days, and with the ground already saturated there are flood warnings everywhere. There's a good chance that the Bow River itself will flood this time, so the city's on high alert. I'm going to try to get Simon and Sandy to do a blog entry later on today, and Simon and I will probably go see Star Wars III later on too. More later from the Flood Zone...
