garden update
In the spirit of the last blog, this is also a bit of a photo blog just to update everyone on the progress of the Calgary garden (i.e the pots on the deck). We came back from home to find the lawn fried to a frazzle after a week of temps in the mid 20s (+!) and low 30s, but the pots were good thanks to the efforts of the HERBs from up the road - big thank you!!
I'm still not sure that the tomatoes are going to work, but the courgettes have taken off, AND we have some miniature courgettes with orange coloured flowers that look like they have some promise...

Huge leaves - maybe some should be taken off? Advice on a postcard please...

If you look very very carefully, at these two pics, you might be able to see a couple of baby courgettes...

Carrots are progressing well - at least the tops are! Will keep you posted on whether there are actually any carrots down there!

Scallions nearly ready to go - will plant another pot tomorrow..
So that's it for now.
Heading off out to the Sibbald/Jumping Pound Creek area for a walk on this gorgeous, warm, clear blue skies day - have to make the most of them while they last...
